Toofan review: How did Rakesh Mehra let go of a good film by tricking it into love jihad?

The film was ineffective on the topic of Hindu-Muslim and love jihad, in which the thrill of the ring could not be brought to the screen. Remember Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Lagaan, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mary Kom, Chak De India, Sultan and Dangal where the audience used to stop breathing during matches.

The trailer, teaser and some songs that showed Toofan were amazing before it was streamed on Amazon Prime Video. Nearly eight years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was released, Toofan Movie had been a hope for many. They say that you can have thousands of wishes so that each wish is possible. Masterpiece Bhaag Milchha Bhaag is not able to stop the storm, despite all the regrets. There are many things that can be done to calm the storm.

But-but are being saved as there was plenty of storm power. It was a great sports drama. However, it was entangled in unneeded accidents. It hurt the film’s soul. It doesn’t matter that Farhan Akhtar and Paresh Rawal acted well. Vijay Raj and other stars did a great job. Or Rakesh Mehra did a great job shooting the storm. How much of the story can be tied to editing? Everything else is meaningless without a solid story. Remember Abhishek Bachchan’s run, in which Vijay Raj was the most entertaining and comical character of Hindi. The film is complete except for that sequence.

Toofan Barbas was reminded of Mohammad Ali’s biopic Mohammad Ali, apart from Aamir Khan’s Ghulam and Ajay Devgan’s Jigar. These three films seem to have been trying to make a fictional Mohammed Ali from Mumbai, using the current political debate as their ingredients. The result is not good. The story of Aziz Ali (the unclaimed Ajju MIAN, a Dombivali boxer) could not be told properly. Ajju is guilty of hooliganism, and he also makes a recovery. This is his fate. There is no other purpose. Once the motive is discovered, he can reach the boxing ring and make the recovery. From the beginning, the essence of the story is clear. What is the purpose of Ajju’s journey to the boxing ring? It would be interesting to see the film to find out what his passion is. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Toofan story is so compelling that it can be described as inspiring and appealing in every way.

But. This story has been twisted and distorted in an attempt to make it more interesting. The story becomes confusing, long and disorganized. Toofan’s story was a great example of sportsmanship. Rakesh Mehra knew with his hands that Toofan was a Muslim hero, so why not join the debate on Hindu-Muslim and enjoy jihad in a romantic manner? Here is where the mistake was made. Toofan’s story was not just about Hindu Muslim debate or love jihad. Rakesh Mehra was forced to make the same argument in the film. He had to have the story rewritten as Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chak De India. Or else, he would have made another film about this topic than the storm.

Chak De India strikes a great balance between its original story and its sub-story. A Hindu-Muslim debate is included, as well as a game that is both entertaining and a challenge. The storm can upset this balance. What does it matter that Dr. Ananya, played by Mrunal Thakur, was Dr. Asifa when the discussion of Hindu-Muslim relations came to the forefront through Ajju Mian’s coach Hanuman Bhakt Nana Prabhu? It doesn’t matter. It would be better to cut down on the film’s length. It could have been avoided that the story fell apart. The story is now… The producers seemed to be trying to ride the horse of lovejihad. He ate the horse of love jihad as soon as he touched his heel.

Although the film did not address the subject of Hindu-Muslim love jihad and Hindu-Muslim marriage, the excitement of the ring was too much to handle. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and Lagaan, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom were all mentioned. During matches, the audience would stop breathing. There are many boxing scenes and sports dramas when there is a storm. However, they don’t have the same shivers or wrinkles that were seen in the films. This is the greatest failure of the film.

The personal performances of the actors are the best part of the film. It is not necessary to tell who Farhan, Paresh and Vijay Raj are. They all work well. It is amazing to see Mrunal Thakur’s spontaneity as a character. Darshan Kumar and Hussain Dalal are fine as well. Some songs are good. There are no films during the Kovid era. The audience can view the film once and see the acting of the actors.
